Child portrait photography sessions are a perfect way to document your growing child. Let me capture their personality in a relaxed and informal photoshoot which is suitable for any age. Whether it be budding models who need a portfolio, school photos or something as a present for a loved one. My signature classic style never disappoints.
Feel free to bring any items your child loves along to the shoot. Musical instruments, teddies even pets! We all love to look back on photographs of ourselves as children as it brings back memories of a place and a time. Let me capture those treasured childhood images for your child and their family in the future. ABOUT YOUR SESSION
Your child portrait session is perfect for children aged one year plus. Children change so quickly and I know myself being a mum just how important it is to remember these special times. My photoshoots are unique, and tailored to you. Whether it be images for a modelling portfolio, school photograhs (if you didnt like the ones that came home from school) or just to capture your growing childs personality, a child portrait session will be perfect for you. If your child has a hobby they enjoy such as dancing, playing an instument, sports, feel free to bring any items along with you. If they have a special bond with a family pet, bring them too – anything goes! My sessions normally take place in my studio but i am more than happy to do location shoots using the beautiful coastline around my home in Whitby.

Upon receiving your child portrait enquiry, we can discuss the finer details of your session. This includes what expect, colour schemes and how I conduct my photography sessions. Obviously we can discuss any questions or queries you have prior to securing your date. How long will the session last?
The session is 30 minutes long but i always allow for an hour so nothing is rushed.
Can more than one child be photographed during the shoot?
Yes of course, just please be aware that my studio is very small so unfortunatley I cannot accomodate large families. Nothing gives me more please than getting a fab sibling shot. I know from experience (I have 2 boys) that siblings often argue and fight. If I can capture a nice sibling shot, it is definatley one to treasure!
What clothes should we bring?
Please bring a selection of outfits with you. Nothing too bright, patterened or with logos as these tend to date quickly. Denim and neutral tones always works well. If you have more than one child they do not need to be matching but please make sure that the tones compliment eachother. Have a look at this link below for inspiration. CLICK FOR INSPIRATION
