First off, I would like to say I'm sorry! I'll be 100% honest, I have really struggled over the Summer holidays! Trying to be the 'perfect mum' organising day trips, visiting family, seeing friends and generally entertaining my two children, whilst remaining fully booked with my business and not letting people down. This has left me truely exhausted but my children have had the 'most awesome summer!' Because of this, my lead times have become slightly longer, to allow me to catch up on orders (thank you to my amazing customers for being so understanding xx) I am only human.
Life seems to be flying past at the minute, and I'm finding myself wondering where the days, weeks, and months are going. In the blink of an eye, my two little nippers seem to have become boys, and I now only have five months left with my youngest (the troublesome one) at home before he starts pre-school. I feel my precious time with them is slipping away and I don't want to look back in a few years time and feel guilty for not spending the with them.
Over the past year my business has gone from strength to strength and I am truly grateful for that. However, my part time business has become a bit of a monster and I have found myself with a full time job whilst having a two year old at home to look after. Until January/February, I will now only be shooting on a Friday (except for xmas mini sessions). If you would like a photoshoot, please get in touch asap as sessions are now extremely limited. From Feb, 2018 i will be increasing my hours when my youngest starts preschool and will be able to take on a lot more bookings.
I have a new price list for Autumn, Winter but for any bookings received before the update, my old prices will be honoured. I have so many exciting things in the pipeline for Rachel Barron Photography, Xmas mini shoots, Autumn minis, and i'll be attending the Newborn Photography Show next Spring too.
I hope all of this rambling makes sense, (it does in my head lol). So, again apologies if it has taken a little longer for your order or for me to reply to a message, things will be starting to get back to normal over the next few weeks. A huge thank you to all of my amazing clients and 'likes' and 'shares' on Facebook. For a small business like mine, these things mean a lot. I have the best customers, many who have become good friends to me and I feel so blessed to be doing the job i love. Also, I must say a huge thank you to our next door neighbour and most amazing friend i could wish for (you know who you are xx). She has helped me out so much over the Summer holidays and our kids have played together for endless hours, via the communal gate in our fence. Im sure they will have these memories forever and look back fondly on them in years to come.
Tomorrow my eldest son starts back in year three. I have mixed feelings about this, part of me will really miss him but I'm excited to get back into a routine again. I'll be thinking of all of the parents sending their children to school for the first time, take some photos!
