Let me capture those cheeky smiles and quirks that your baby has developed and their sheer excitement when the birthday cake is brought out. Whether your baby eats it, throws it, sits in it…they all make for amazing images. After all, who doesn’t like cake, lots of sugar and sparkles right? After the birthday cake comes the splash session. A lovley warm bubble bath in my unique baby roll top bath means your baby can get clean and I get to capture some unique photos of your little one enjoying a splash in the tub.

I have a wide variety of backdrops and amazing little outfits for your baby to use during the cake smash and splash session. My studio is in Whitby near Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

ABOUT YOUR SESSION
Your cake smash photography session is perfect for children who are able to sit unaided, and unsupported. So 1 year and up is a perfect age. However should your child be slightly older let’s talk, and I am sure we can tailor it better for older children. As well as siblings and twins, we can plan the session during our pre-meet. We go into depth about your colour scheme and cake choices, as well as if there are any special requirements to accommodate your little ones.

All of my cake smash photography sessions are approximately 1-1/2 hours long. This includes a bespoke cake, use of props and backdrops a personalised viewing of your gallery after your session.

When should I book a cake smash photoshoot?
I would recommend booking around two months in advance to avoid disappointment. i will send you a confirmation email along with a contract and an invoice. There will be contracts to fill in regarding allergies etc too. We can discuss what colour scheme you would like and if you have any special requests.
Do I need to buy an outfit?
I have a variety of nappy covers, dresses and rompers that you can borrow for the shoot. Please feel free to bring your own outfit and accessories too.
What should i bring?
Most parents really worry about this. If you have bought an outfit, bring that along. You will need to bring bubble bath and a towel, nappies a drink and a snack are always helpful too. I provide the cake and decorations.
How long will my cake smash photography session take?
I ask parents to allow for the session to take around an hour. Your cake smash photography session is completley baby led and I will stop the shoot for feeds, nappy changes and of course cuddles. The shoot is in two parts, the cake smash and then the splash in the tub.
What if my baby wee's or poo's! in the bath?
Please, don’t worry! It is very unlikely that your baby will be potty trained. I am a mum of two and have worked in this field for 5 years so nothing phases me.
