Whitby photographer, Rachel Barron is something I dreamt of saying for many, many years! Living in Whitby is truely magical. We made from the move from Leeds to the coast just over three years ago now and we have never looked back! Whitby really is the most stunning and unique place. I just love to get out with my camera, whilst walking my cockapoo Dolly and capture the beautiful seaside town in all its glory. My love of becoming a Whitby landscape photographer began in lockown 2020. It gave me a passion for a different kind of photography that i wasnt used to and made me apperciate the beauty of nature. The cobbled streets were so quiet and empty, which is a very rare sight in Whitby! Being able to photograph the most popular sights such as the 199 steps, the whale bones, Captain Cook and Whitby Abbey without any crowds of people was a once in a lifetime opportunity and a chance I dont think I’ll ever get again. Whitby is so unique in many ways and its popularity is just soaring with holiday makers from around the world. From a crashing high tide one day to the stillness of a sunset the next. Every day is different, which is what makes Whitby such a perfect place to photograph. The coastline around Whitby is one that leaves a me with few words able to describe its beauty, and makes me want to capture that moment forever. Please follow my journey on Instagram
