About your maternity session
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Discovering you’re pregnant is a magical time. Let me capture some beautiful memories of your bump, as in the blink of an eye you will have your beautiful newborn baby in your arms. I know during pregnancy we may not feel our best, but it is my job to make you feel amazing, empowered and proud of the job your body is doing! A maternity shoot with Rachel Barron Photography is best done from 34 weeks plus, when your bump will be at its largest. My shoots are classy, timeless and focus on the beauty of your body and your growing baby. Below you will find some information about my maternity sessions and what to expect during your photoshoot. Siblings and partners are always welcome to be included in your images and this special time in your life.

ABOUT YOUR SESSION
Your maternity session is best booked after your 20 week scan and its always good to book ahead to avoid disappointment. A small deposit is required to secure your session, which is redeemable off your final package price. Please look at my newborn photography sessions too, which can be booked with your maternity session.
What to expect on your session
Upon receiving your maternity photography enquiry, we can discuss the details about your session and what to expect. This includes what to bring to your session, what to wear, and what happens during your photoshoot. After your session you will be invited back to view a beautifully created gallery of your final images for choosing your images as part of your package.

When should I book my maternity photoshoot?
The best time for a maternity photoshoot is when you’re are 34 weeks plus. This is when your bump will be at its largest and will allow for some stunning images. You book in just after your 20 week scan.
What should i bring?
Please bring with you any items of clothes you would like to be photographed in. Tight dresses that show off your figure are fab. I have a small selection of maternity dresses that you are welcome to borrow.

How long will my maternity photography session take?
The session takes around an hour. Nothing is rushed and the session is very relaxed.
Can I have naked photos taken?
Of course! I had a maternity shoot when I was pregnant with my second son. I was nervous about stripping off but i really wanted a naked photo of my bump. I’m so pleased i actually did it as when i look back I can’t believe my stomach was ever that size. Bring a dressing gown with you so that inbetween poses you can feel slightly less exposed. Being a mum and a woman really helps as after all we all have the same bodies. I see all shapes and sizes and most with stretch marks. I hope to make you feel empowered and proud of your amazing body that is growing another human xx
